About Stellar Patch

We help businesses work better by fixing what's broken and improving what already works.

Our Story

Stellar Patch was founded in 2004 by three operations professionals who'd spent years watching organizations struggle with the same problems. They saw companies hiring consultants who delivered impressive presentations but little practical change. They witnessed technology implementations that automated broken processes. And they observed talented employees frustrated by workflows that made their jobs unnecessarily difficult.

The founding principle was simple: fix the process first, then add technology if it helps. This meant spending time understanding how work actually happened, not just how organization charts suggested it should. It meant involving the people doing the work in designing improvements. And it meant measuring results honestly.

Over two decades, we've grown from three consultants working with local manufacturers to a team of forty-three professionals serving clients across multiple industries. What hasn't changed is our commitment to practical solutions that work in the real world.

We've completed more than three hundred projects, but we measure success by the relationships we've built. Many of our current clients started working with us years ago on a single department challenge and have since expanded our engagement across their entire organization.

What Drives Us

Honest Assessment

We tell you what we actually think, even when it's not what you want to hear. If your current approach is sound, we'll say so. If there's a cheaper solution than engaging us, we'll point you toward it.

Practical Solutions

Elegant theories don't matter if they can't be implemented. We design solutions that fit your resources, culture, and constraints. Beautiful simplicity beats complex sophistication every time.

Respect for Experience

The people doing the work understand it better than any consultant ever will. We listen carefully, ask questions, and design changes collaboratively rather than dictating from outside.

Accountability

We commit to specific outcomes and measure ourselves against them. When something doesn't work as planned, we adjust our approach rather than making excuses.

Continuous Learning

Every engagement teaches us something. We study what worked and what didn't, sharing knowledge across our team so each project benefits from our collective experience.

Long-term Thinking

We're building a business for decades, not quarters. That means prioritizing sustainable client relationships over short-term revenue and being selective about the projects we take on.

Our Team

Our consultants come from diverse backgrounds: operations management, industrial engineering, supply chain, healthcare administration, financial services, and technology. What they share is extensive hands-on experience running business operations before joining Stellar Patch.

We don't hire straight out of business school. Our junior consultants have at least five years of operational experience. Senior consultants average fifteen years. This means when they walk into your organization, they've already dealt with similar challenges elsewhere.

We organize in small teams, typically three to five people per project. You'll work with the same consultants throughout your engagement, building relationships and shared understanding over time.

How We Work Differently

We Start by Observing

Rather than arriving with predetermined solutions, we spend significant time watching how work actually happens. We sit with your team, follow processes from start to finish, and ask questions until we genuinely understand your operations.

We Challenge Assumptions

Many inefficiencies persist because nobody questions why things are done a certain way. We ask "why" repeatedly, distinguishing between genuine constraints and outdated practices that could be changed.

We Design Collaboratively

The people closest to the work have the best insights into what will actually function. We facilitate workshops where your team members design improvements rather than presenting them with finished solutions.

We Implement Carefully

Change is disruptive. We roll out improvements systematically, starting small and expanding as we learn. This reduces risk and allows adjustments based on real-world feedback.

We Measure Honestly

We establish clear success metrics before starting work and track them throughout. When results fall short, we investigate why and adjust our approach rather than selectively interpreting data.

We Transfer Knowledge

Our goal is to make ourselves unnecessary. We document everything, train your team thoroughly, and ensure you can sustain improvements after we're gone.

Our Philosophy on Business Improvement

We believe most organizations already have the knowledge to solve their process problems. The challenge isn't lack of expertise—it's that daily pressures leave no time to step back and fix underlying issues. People work around broken processes rather than fixing them because fire-fighting feels more urgent than prevention.

Our role is to create the space for systematic improvement. We bring structure, methodology, and an outside perspective that helps teams see what they're too close to notice. But the solutions come from combining our process expertise with their deep understanding of the business.

This collaborative approach takes longer initially than simply imposing recommendations. But it produces better results because the solutions are grounded in reality, and the people implementing them understand why they work.

We're also skeptical of one-size-fits-all approaches. Process improvement methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma provide useful tools, but blindly following any framework often misses what makes your situation unique. We adapt our methods to fit your context rather than forcing your organization into a predetermined model.
